The 2006/07 Team Awards

Before we talk about this past seasons awards, I wanted to touch on a little bit of history of both teams with this aspect in mind. I will also be commencing an awards page (very soon) and other interesting info. It will make it a great and fun thing to share with each and every member that has ever put on a jersey for either team.

As we have done from the start of the Rifles and Dynamo existence, some sort of award was always issued, there were a few season where it did not happen, but those were rare and far between. I am happy to say that we have kept track of every player that has come through the doors and all their stats. Everyone gets a kick out of that, and a good laugh as well.

I have always believed that players should be recognized for their contributions, and more importantly that their peers show them the respect they deserve.

You cannot forget other contributions (that might not show up as a stat) such as a series winning pass or play, someone who works so hard each and every game, like it was their last. The individual that puts everyone else ahead of themselves, and is willing to do what ever it takes.

We don't get paid to go out and play, just the opposite. I would love to figure out, the amount money that people have paid, just to get out to have some fun, exercise, and really when you get down to it, some good competition. When you do finally win a League Championship or accomplish a goal as group, and you look back at all the other committments everyone has to make in their everyday life, family, jobs, careers, it feels mighty good, to share and bask in that fleeting glory (even for a minute).

So here to each and every member of our organization past and present, I want to thank you for allowing me an opportunity to share in that experience.
