Just like the title implies it's time to get caught up (a bad habit of mine)and for starters the Dynamo 2007-08 season was one for the ages, or at least for the Manager.
After a satisfying campaign in the 2006-07 season and glowing from the fact that so many new players gave the club a huge boost we were once again shopping around for players to fill the roster, and as I will explain for this coming season (2008-09) it does not get any easier.
As I have told our newest additions Jeremy and Chris, I welcome them to our club even if only for the one season. We all appreciated their contributions.
For sure as a Manager and a player for Dynamo I have to thank you Skip from bringing on one hell of a classy individual and amazing player in one # 66 Chris Nielsen.
Not only for the fact that he led our team with 60 points in only 20 games, and we all knew that he would do that, but that someone that has played at the highest level of hockey in the NHL, made the season a special one for all those around him. It's the first time someone has donned a Dynamo sweater that has played at that level and it's hard to say if that will ever happen again.
One can be over whelmed to see up close how good a player can be or have to be to get to the best level of hockey, but the kind of individual that Chris is, made that part an easy thing for all to see and how a great player can make everyone around him better, and of course to play a team game.
I personally want to thank Chris for adding his name to a list of past and current Dynamo and Rifles players that have been leaders, extra ordinary, and down right good people. A proud friend.
