It's about Family

A great story to come out of the Winnipeg Rifles Hockey season in 2007-08 was the latest addition to our lineup. The first ever Father and Son combination.

The team was a fortunate witness to #10 Allan Sylvester and his son 15 year old #72 Ryan suit up for a game together on Oct 18, 2007 in a 2-2 tie vs Brahma Bulls.

Ryan has gone on to play a total of 14 games, contributing 3 goals and 2 assists and 0 penalty minutes. He fit right in while skating on defence and as a forward.

It hard to imagine that when I met Al way back in 1980, that we would be still doing what we love and to boot now, the next generation makes it's presence felt.
